Hey Queens,

Love this braid and curl? Well its the result of a bomb brand filled with goodies that will keep your hair healthy and LOOKING healthy as well!

Natural hair should be maintained by products that will promote health and growth then you can expect successful hairstyle to follow suit. For example, curl definition is a sign of health. Shiny hair is a sign of good health. The health of your hair should be your number one concern. Another example, don’t focus too much on if you can get spiral curls and give more attention to your hair’s elasticity. These are major keys to healthy natural hair.

How to focus on hair health? Well two things:

1.Practice healthy hair techniques.

2.Use “natural” and quality products with natural ingredients.

The latter is what leads me to Beija-Flor Naturals. I was generously given products of my choice from their hair care line in exchange for a honest review and I’m forever grateful for their amazing owner. This brand gives the greatest vibes and pride itself on keeping organic and natural.  SPOILER ALERT: I love them, but let’s jump into why I do & you should to…
Background info:

This brand is based out of Cali & has a brick and mortar store (Concept47) that carry other natural/organic products as well as eclectic pieces. The vibe is contagious and definitely puts you in a calm, relax mood after browsing any other  of their inventory. If you’re ingredient conscious, looking for a minimalist lysryle, or open to new things- I recommend you check them out!

Here is what I used:

Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo

Licorice Root Scalp Elixir

Creme Brulee For Kinks, Curls, And Coils

Organic, diverse, and natural. What I love is that each product is packed with all natural ingredients that works for getting the best of your style AND healthy hair -short & long term. I feel like these products are well worthy their money simply for this reason.

Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo

this is by far one of the most distinct products I’ve ever tried. I mean just look at its texture.

It feels exactly how it looks “goo-y” and I wasn’t sure how it was going to work as a shampoo. The owner was kind enough to tell me that this shampoo is a moisturizing shampoo meaning it’s not for cleansing product build up.  It worked amazing in cleaning my hair, getting a nice lather, and leaving my hair extra moisturized. It has a distinct smell and I know exactly why. Its packed with the following ingredients:

Soaponified Olive Oil, Argan Oil, Castor Oil, Babassu Oil, Coconut Oil, Bee Pollon Infusion, Brazil Nut Oil, Peppermint, Sweet Orange, Honey Powder.

which all hold their own scent and create a herbal scent like no other. If herbal isn’t your favorite scent, it doesn’t even linger after washing it out, so you’re good.

Creme Brulee

This is my FAVORITE PRODUCT! It has to be my favorite new product for 2016, hands down. Here’s why

Smell + Texture: It smells like cake, cookie, or something fresh out of a bakery. This smell is soft and lasting and I had some many people not only wanting to touch my hair, but sticking their nose deep in my fro (that sound gross reading out loud!). I really, really love the scent it left and love more how its not too much for someone with a sensitive nose. Now its texture is creamy and leaves a moisturized shine that so many of my instagram followers couldn’t believe how shiny my hair was with no help of any oil.

Performance + Ingredients: Here is what’s in it-

Organic Shea Butter, Organic Coconut Oil, Organic Aloe Vera, Distilled Water, Murumuru Butter, Nettle, Burdock, Rosemary, Marshmellow Root, Grapeseed Oil, Vegetable Based Emulsifier, Stearic Acid, Xanthum, Paraben Free Preservative, Fragrance.

Now if you’ve been natural for a while, you know what ingredients work for you and not, right?

(If you don’t that just fine because you can visit www.TheNappyversity.com and find that out plus more!)

I know that my hair loves marshmellow root, grapeseed oil,  and aloe vera. When I saw that this styling cream had that I was stoked to see if my theory was true and it is! This product is a styler/moisturizer cream you would want to use to style or just re-moisturize dry natural hair. It really does NOT need any additional product such as a leave in or sealant because it works so well in nourishing your hair strands. Its perfect for hot or cold weather and definitely a versatile product for all year round use.

It left my hair bouncy, shiny, and moisturized up to 5 days. It is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!

Licorice Root Scalp Elixir:

This product is specific for dry, itchy scalp which I can have from time to time. Like the products before, I love its ingredients as well as it worked perfect. Normally, I have to oil my scalp every two days and using this elixir I didn’t need to reapply until day 4 so I’m happy! It has a creamy and oily texture which leads me to believe why it works so well for my scalp. It moisturizes my scalp and seals at the same time.
